I've always been fascinated at how drivers would ease their way to a snowy road as snowy as Sta Fe's. On that week when I went downtown Sta Fe with another Filipino monk - Dom Marcus, to do errands and maintenance shopping, I just could not help but to marvel at the snow-filled mountainuous higways of Sta Fe. My shutter then kept me real busy taking snapshots of any random spot at the highway that struck my fancy.

The week that passed was so divinely spent and enjoyed by most of the monks up here at the canyons because of a week-long snow fall.
The snowfall from time to time in everyday of the week did not really fill up our grounds but kept the weather moist and chilling!...

I drove early in the morning at sunrise yesterday to pick up one monk who was to arrive in Sunport International airport in Albuquerque from Los Angeles...
The road was easy ( after the 13 1/2 mile dirt road of course) and traffic was loose. The rest of the day that I spent driving to and fro the city of Albuquerque while waiting for the monk's arrival at SouthWest Airlines was another good story to tell...

Going to town to shop for my community's foods and other needs is a big task as it entails the whole day to be able to complete the items needed for the community's weeklong food consumption and other needs of the monks. This week, I was assisted by Dom Paul (Vietnames).

Driving the 13 and 1/2 mile dirt road up and down the canyon slopes is always a big challenge for me. Nevertheless, I need to obey my superior and do the errands he is asking me.
That day, I was off to Sta Fe to do a lot of works and one of its major ones is to pick up one brother in Sta Fe and bring him home safely back to the monastery..such a great and risky job when the dirt road is filled and fully covered with snow!

Driving the highway on a 70mph is just okay with me, but driving the thirteen and a half mile dirt road going out with a 30mph is too dangerous for me...You know why? just look at the condition of our dirt road in going out to the nearest civilization...
