Everything looks perfect

Whether simple or elaborate, your wedding must be a breathtakingly beautiful occasion, the one you will remember and cherish for the rest of your life. Ara is a good friend of mine, wedding day is right around the corner and she wants to make sure that everything looks perfect.

One of the essential things they needed for the wedding is to have some wedding invitations. This is because a wedding invitation should be very much appealing to their prospect guests so they will be more willing to be a part of the wedding. The more beautiful their wedding invitations are, the more people that would be interested in attending their wedding.

Fortunately, they can turn to online source for a unique wedding invitation as well as wedding thank you cards, by just simply sitting down in front of the computer and presto, the site will cater their needs right away. Not to mention that the site will provide them with an array of wedding invitation samples to choose from.

Unique wedding invitations are not only made to make your wedding event an impressive one to attend but also to encourage guests to push through with attending and make it a memorable event for them as well. Since that wedding invitations are good means of introducing the wedding and the couple, then it should definitely be attractive, appealing and worth-remembering.

tomorrow's Gospel: More than we can expect

Scripture: Luke 11:5-13

5 And he said to them, "Which of you who has a friend will go to him at midnight and say to him, `Friend, lend me three loaves;

6 for a friend of mine has arrived on a journey, and I have nothing to set before him';

7 and he will answer from within, `Do not bother me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot get up and give you anything'?

8 I tell you, though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him whatever he needs.

9 And I tell you, Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

10 For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

11 What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent;

12 or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

Reflections
What can we expect from God, especially when we recognize that he doesn't owe us anything and that we don't deserve his grace and favor? Jesus used the illustration of a late-night traveller to teach his listeners an important lesson about how God treats us in contrast to the kind of treatment we might expect from good neighbors. The rule of hospitality in biblical times required the cooperation of the entire community in entertaining an unexpected or late-night guest.

Whether the guest was hungry or not, a meal would be served. In a small village it would be easy to know who had baked bread that day. Bread was essential for a meal because it served as a utensil for dipping and eating from the common dishes. Asking for bread from one's neighbor was both a common occurrence and an expected favor. To refuse to give bread would bring shame because it was a sign of inhospitality.

If a neighbor can be imposed upon and coerced into giving bread in the middle of the night, how much more hospitable is God, who, no matter what the circumstances, is generous and ready to give us what we need. Augustine of Hippo reminds us that "God, who does not sleep and who awakens us from sleep that we may ask, gives much more graciously." In conclusion Jesus makes a startling claim: How much more will the heavenly Father give! The Lord is ever ready to give us not only what we need, but more than we can expect. He gives freely of his Holy Spirit that we may share in his life and joy. Do you approach your heavenly Father with confidence in his mercy and kindness?

the sink that never puts you down

Just last week, I paid a visit to my niece in a nearbyplace where I am currently residing and to my surprise, she was doubly delighted to find me knocking at her door.

It came to me that she was just about to get her gear and drive herself to my place for an emergency matter. Well, What was the matter with her? I found out that her sink was in a total mess after the hurricane Ketsana (locally named as Ondoy) ravaged the city and there was no way for her to repair it and get it in shape with her ordinary powers. Since I did not know any local outlet of stores selling sinks in our place, i advised Cynthia to go online and find her much needed stainless steel kitchen sink for her kitchen or her cooking will totally be impaired.

With my advice, she went online shortly and found Mr Direct and after reading a very enlightening text from its web that says, "MR Direct is your one stop shop for all of your sink and faucet needs. We offer the best quality undermount stainless steel sinks and porcelain bathroom sinks. We proudly stand behind all of our products with a lifetime warranty. Because we sell directly from our factory to you, we are able to offer a superior quality product at an affordable price. If you have any questions please contact us by email or phone or view our sink FAQ."

Well, these words of encouragement made Cynthia do what is expected of her to do and that was: to contact Mr Direct and placed her order for her much needed kitchen sink. And true to its words, in no time, she got her order and was so relieved from her distress. The experience of my niece was an amazing one. Dealing with Mr Direct is truly a satisfying one!

This experience has given me a brilliant idea, too, to subscribe to Mr Direct's services as his expertise and reliability on kitchen sinks will surely help me with my ongoing remodeling project in the two adjacent kitchens of the apartments that I am managing.

Would you like to try Mr Direct , too? Waste no time, get online and get the sink that will never put you down from your kitchen works!

Perfect in Him

Living as we do in a product-oriented culture, we like to package our faith, too. We prefer to sell a slick, shrink wrapped version of salvation that includes happiness and peace, and happiness here and now and heaven by and by. While there is nothing wrong with good marketing techniques or teaching principles of authentic success, there is something wrong if we neglect to mention the process, which must inevitably include times of defeat and failure.

What I'd like to know is who erected such a happily-ever-after standard of perfection in the first place? God knows very well we aren't able to produce perfection; that's why Jesus, the perfect Son of God, placed us in His family. That's why He gave us a position of perfect righteousness in Him, reminding us by contrast that our own daily experience will constantly fall short.

great steakhouse

Beef is part of a good balanced diet. As a matter of fact, you can eat anything you want, as long as it is in moderation.Beef is a good source of protein and iron, but there are healthier meats. It is not bad for you, but some people way over-do it. You may want to focus on dispelling myths about kobe beef, such as the idea its bad for you. Look at studies differentiating between lean beef and fatty beef. You could also talk about how beef gets a bad reputation because people don't eat it in moderate amounts.

People don't realize how different the nutritional value of the USDA prime
can be depending on how it was actually produced. Would you like to get the following health benefits without actually changing what you eat, but simply eating food that you are surely satisfied. So what are you waiting for? Buy Steaks and enjoy the good taste of it

Steaks also contains nutrients such as zinc, protein, and iron. On the flip side, it is a little high in salt, however, so you still have to eat it in moderation.

The Image of God son

Maybe you've never before stopped to consider that God is commited to one major objective in the lives of all His people: to conform us to " the image of His Son." We need to blow the dust off that timeless goal now that our cage is overcrowded and our lives are growing increasingly more distant from each other.

Exactly what does our heavenly father want to develop within us? What is that image of His Son? I believe the simple answer is found in Christ's own words. Listen as he declares His primary reason for coming: For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many Mark 10:45).

No mumbo jumbo. Just a straight-from-the-shoulder admission. He came to serve and to give. It makes sense, then, to say that God desires the same for us.

God's delight

You have run far enough. You have stood long enough. you have fought, pushed, and manipulated your way for too many years. God has finally grabbed your attention. He is saying, " quit! Stop! Let Me handle it. Sit there on the hot sands of the desert where you have brought yourself. Look at what lies next to you. It is a well, full of fresh water"
Soon it will be God's delight that bring to that bucker up and fresh your soul. Sit still. Stay there. Be quiet.

Cease all day striving. Relax. Be contented by that well, and drink deeply. You are thirstier than you realize.

Excellent opportunity

One of the greatest thrill for my friend Bodie is having new puppies in their home. Having a puppy brings him a sense of well being and comfort. It provides him an excellent opportunity to learn the skills necessary in raising and caring for a new born animal. He is a veterinarian in profession and he concentrates more on animal welfare. Yet, while fulfilling his job as a pet doctor, he can still do good even in animal welfare careers. Animalwelfarejobs is probably perfect site wherein he can push through his dream job.

Animal welfare, the health and well-being of animals, represents a concern for people who believe that nonhuman animals are sentient beings that deserve consideration, respect, and care. They may believe that humans have a moral responsibility not to cause cruelty (unnecessary suffering) to other animals.

tomorrow's Gospel: He makes us like Himself

Scripture: Luke 11:1-4

1 He was praying in a certain place, and when he ceased, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples."

2 And he said to them, "When you pray, say: "Father, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come.

3 Give us each day our daily bread;

4 and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive every one who is indebted to us; and lead us not into temptation."

Reflections
Do you pray with joy and confidence? The Jews were noted for their devotion to prayer. Formal prayer was prescribed for three set times a day. And the rabbis had a prayer for every occasion. It was also a custom for rabbis to teach their disciples a simple prayer they might use on a regular basis. Jesus' disciples ask him for such a prayer. When Jesus taught his disciples to pray he gave them the disciple's prayer, what we call the Our Father or Lord's Prayer. What does Jesus' prayer tell us about God and about ourselves?

First, it tells us that God is both Father in being the Creator and Author of all that he has made, the first origin of everything and transcendent authority, and he is eternally Father by his relationship to his only Son who, reciprocally is Son only in relation to his Father (Matthew 11:27). All fatherhood and motherhood is derived from him (Ephesians 3:14-15). In Jesus Christ we are reborn and become the adopted children of God (John 1:12-13; 3:3).

Jesus teaches us to address God as "our Father" and to confidently ask him for the things we need to live as his sons and daughters. We can approach God our Father with confidence and boldness because Jesus Christ has opened the way to heaven for us through his death and resurrection. When we ask God for help, he fortunately does not give us what we deserve. Instead, he responds with grace and mercy. He is kind and forgiving towards us and he expects us to treat our neighbor the same. We can pray with expectant faith because our heavenly Father truly loves each one of us and and he treats us as his beloved children.

He delights to give us what is good. His love and grace transforms us and makes us like Himself. Through his grace and power we can love and serve one another as Jesus taught – with grace, mercy, and loving-kindness. Do you treat others as they deserve, or do you treat them as the Lord would with grace and mercy? Jesus' prayer includes an injunction that we must ask God to forgive us in proportion as we forgive those who have wronged us. God's grace frees us from every form of anger, spite, resentment, and hatred. Are you ready to forgive others as Jesus forgives you?

Get off the treadmill

Like David, Jesus also took time for solitude after long periods of loving, serving, healing, counseling and teaching. He needed time alone with the father to replenish himself. It goes without saying that if David and Jesus needed spiritual refueling from time to time, so do we.

Somehow we must learn to slow down, get off the treadmill, seek out solitude and encourage ourselves in God. One way to do this is through a daily time of solitude, perhaps before the events of the day rush in. Talk with the Lord and read his word. allow him to regenerate your spiritual energies. Some people find spiritual refueling by listening to Christian music. Sometimes when I'm driving to an appointment, feeling stretched to the limit, I turn off the news with its catastrophes and commercials and put in worship CD. After a half hour on the road, my spirit is refreshed by the Spirit of the Lord. Even the strongest faith is bolstered by time alone with God.

Running on empty

Sacrificial love has just one problem. If you really commit yourself to it, you will quickly find out out that it is extremely exhausting. After a certain amount of giving and serving and expending, you may begin to feel numb, as if you have nothing left to give. You are running on empty.

It is impossible to completely run out of love and then refill the tank. It is possible to love people not only sacrificially but also steadfastly. This is what God calls us to do- not to run the hundred yard dash in loving people, but to run the marathon. In order to do that, we have to learn how to refuel ourselves when we run out of love. Often we need God's help to refuel, and he's glad to offer it.

Looking for discount

Over the past few years, I have been saving money each month, not for any particular reason like for example to buy a house, but just in case something big went wrong.

In life you never really know when something is going to go wrong, for example your car is breaking down, the washing machine is packing up or the need for some improvements to your house. By saving in the way that I know do makes these issues far less stressful to deal with as I have the funds readily available to remedy the situation.

Emotional Refuelling

it is important to watch your spiritual gauge, but you also have to watch your emotional fuel gauge as well. It is possible to keep your spiritual reserves replenished and still feel all out of love.

Major life changes can drain you emotionally: the death of spouse, divorce, change of residence. Even happy events, such as family holidays or the birth of a child, can leave you emotionally spent.

A friend of mine recently had five extremely difficult conversations in one workday. When he left the office that evening, he was doing great spiritually but he was emotionally depleted.

Emotional depletion also happens at home. the sink backs up and the plumber is busy until the end of a week. Chicken pox attacks the children one by one. You learn that your teenage son has a drug problem. When your emotional tank is empty, you are likely to feel uninterested in the well-being of others, no matter how full your spiritual tank is. Take time to fill your emotional tank

Spiritual sniff tests

We must ask tough questions of anyone to whom we are considering giving our time or money. Does this organization do exactly what it claims to do? Good intentions and impressive goals are not enough. Are the goals being reached efficiently, effectively and honorably? Does this organization or ministry exhibit fiscal responsibility? Are fundraising percentages reasonable? Are salaries justified?

We also need to apply what I call The Holy Spirit Sniff Test. When we bring a particular form of ministry or good deed before God in prayer, do we sense that God affirms both the particular ministry and our involvement with it? if we do, then the bible would say to us, Don't hold back! Shower the place with your goodness. Bless, serve, pray, give volunteer as much as you can. Let the goodness flow like a mighty river. But if we have any reservations, we mustn't be naive. Our resources of time, energy and money are limited; we mustn't throw them away on unworthy causes or ineffective endeavors. When we give to others, we must be discerning.

tomorrow's Gospel: His Gracious hospitality

Scripture: Luke 10:38-42

38 Now as they went on their way, he entered a village; and a woman named Martha received him into her house.

39 And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet and listened to his teaching.

40 But Martha was distracted with much serving; and she went to him and said, "Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me."

41 But the Lord answered her, "Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things;

42 one thing is needful. Mary has chosen the good portion, which shall not be taken away from her."

Reflections
Does the peace of Christ reign in your home and in your personal life? Jesus loved to visit the home of Martha and Mary and enjoyed their gracious hospitality. In this brief encounter we see two very different temperaments in Martha and Mary. Martha loved to serve, but in her anxious manner of waiting on Jesus, she caused unrest. Mary, in her simple and trusting manner, waited on Jesus by sitting attentively at his feet. She instinctively knew that what the Lord and

Teacher most wanted at that moment was her attentive presence. Anxiety and preoccupation keep us from listening and from giving the Lord our undivided attention. The Lord bids us to give him our concerns and anxieties because he is trustworthy and able to meet any need we have. His grace frees us from needless concerns and preoccupation. Do you seek the Lord attentively? And does the Lord find a welcomed and honored place in your home?

The Lord Jesus desires that we make a place for him, not only in our hearts, but in our homes and in the daily circumstances of our lives as well. We honor the Lord when we offer to him everything we have and everything we do. Afterall, everything we have is an outright gift from God (1 Chronicles 29:14). Paul the Apostle urges us to give God glory in everything: "Whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him" (Colossians 3:17).

When you sit, eat, sleep and when you entertain your friends and guests, remember that the Lord Jesus is also the guest of your home. Scripture tells us that when Abraham opened his home and welcomed three unknown travelers, he welcomed the Lord who blessed him favorably for his gracious hospitality (Genesis 18:1-10; Hebrews 13:2). The Lord wants us to bring him glory in the way we treat others and use the gifts he has graciously given to us. God, in turn, blesses us with his gracious presence and fills us with joy.

Good deeds left undone

Every time I fail to do act of goodness that is in my power to do, I fumble an important ball. And that particular ball is never thrown again. If I don't obey God's promptings to help someone, I miss an opportunity to let God nourish my soul. If I don't help someone, will someone else? Maybe. Maybe not.

It may well be that the vast majority of unmet needs that bring sadness, heartache, loneliness and despair into human lives are merely the flip sides of good deeds left undone. Think about good deeds; think about the incredible power of good deeds; think about the tragedy of our failure to do them. When it comes to good deeds, God and others are counting on us. If it is in our power to do good, we had better do it.

Incredible convenience

In some of the world's most congested urban populations, electric scooters are an indispensable form of transportation due to their low operating cost, and ease of use in traffic and parking benefits.

Electric scooters are rising in popularity because of their incredible convenience and the rising cost of gasoline prices. Not only is the cost of "fuel" much lower for electric scooters, but the emissions produced by electric scooters is zero. Even when the volume of emissions created by power stations to generate the required electricity is taken into consideration, the savings both financial and to the environment are substantial.

Since an electric scooter uses no fluids such as gasoline and oil to power and lubricate moving parts, it makes them a very low-maintenance and thus a low-cost vehicle.

Electric scooters are the simplest mechanics of any self-propelled vehicles, often included with gears and mechanisms to control the flow of electricity, yet range widely in wheel layout (2, 3 and 4 wheel scooters), styles, ride position with either standup or sit down, and a number of other features including the 3 and 4 wheel electric mobility scooters designed specifically for the mobility challenged and the varieties inherent with those products.

Electric scooters are allowed to be transported in most public transit systems, such as buses, trains and planes, a courtesy not provided to owners of internal combustion powered scooters, ie. gas powered engines. This benefit to electric scooters is often extended to public places, a great advantage to those who are mobility challenged.

Electric scooters also bring with them the sound of silence, which may be a nice change for the owner, but also presents an interesting challenge for riders and those around them. The sound of an engine is often one of the indicators that there is a vehicle near by, and for other drivers and pedestrians who don't look around them when maneuvering in traffic can often spell danger for the silent rider.

tomorrow's Gospel: God restores us to wholeness of life

Scripture: Luke 10:25-37

25 And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"

26 He said to him, "What is written in the law? How do you read?"

27 And he answered, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself."

28 And he said to him, "You have answered right; do this, and you will live."

29 But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"

30 Jesus replied, "A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

31 Now by chance a priest was going down that road; and when he saw him he passed by on the other side.

32 So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.

33 But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was; and when he saw him, he had compassion,

34 and went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; then he set him on his own beast and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

35 And the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, `Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.'

36 Which of these three, do you think, proved neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?"

37 He said, "The one who showed mercy on him." And Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise."

Reflections

If God is all-loving and compassionate, then why is there so much suffering and evil in this world? Many agnostics refuse to believe in God because of this seemingly imponderable problem. If God is love then evil and suffering must be eliminated in all its forms. What is God's answer to this human dilemma?

Jesus' parable about a highway robbery gives us a helpful hint. Jesus told this dramatic story in response to a devout Jew who wanted to understand how to apply God's great commandment of love to his everyday life circumstances. In so many words this religious-minded Jew said: "I want to love God as best as I can and I want to love my neighbor as well. But how do I know that I am fulfilling my duty to love my neighbor as myself?" Jesus must have smiled when he heard this man challenge him to explain one's duty towards their neighbor.

For the Jewish believer the law of love was plain and simple: "treat your neighbor as you would treat yourself." The real issue for this believer was the correct definition of who is "my neighbor". He understood "neighbor" to mean one's fellow Jew who belonged to the same covenant which God made with the people of Israel. Up to a certain point, Jesus agreed with this sincere expert but, at the same time, he challenged him to see that God's view of neighbor went far beyond his narrow definition.

Jesus told a parable to show how wide God's love and mercy is towards every fellow human being. Jesus's story of a brutal highway robbery was all too familiar to his audience. The road from Jerusalem to Jericho went through a narrow winding valley surrounded by steep rocky cliffs. Many wealthy Jews from Jerusalem had winter homes in Jerico. This narrow highway was dangerous and notorious for its robbers who could easily ambush their victim and escape into the hills. No one in his right mind would think of traveling through this dangerous highway alone. It was far safer to travel with others for protection and defense.

So why did the religious leaders refuse to give any help when they saw a half-dead victim lying by the roadside? Didn't they recognize that this victim was their neighbor? And why did a Samaritan, an outsider who was despised by the Jews, treat this victim with special care at his own expense as he would care for his own family? Who was the real neighbor who showed brotherly compassion and mercy? Jesus makes the supposed villain, the despised Samaritan, the merciful one as an example for the status conscious Jews.

Why didn't the priest and Levite stop to help? The priest probably didn't want to risk the possibility of ritual impurity. His piety got in the way of charity. The Levite approached close to the victim, but stopped short of actually helping him. Perhaps he feared that bandits were using a decoy to ambush him. The Levite put personal safety ahead of saving his neighbor.

What does Jesus' story tell us about true love for one's neighbor? First, we must be willing to help even if others brought trouble on themselves through their own fault or negligence. Second, our love and concern to help others in need must be practical. Good intentions and showing pity, or emphathizing with others, are not enough. And lastly, our love for others must be as wide and as inclusive as God's love. God excludes no one from his care and concern.

God's love is unconditional. So we must be ready to do good to others for their sake, just as God is good to us. Jesus not only taught God's way of love, but he showed how far God was willing to go to share in our suffering and to restore us to wholeness of life and happiness. Jesus overcame sin, suffering, and death through his victory on the cross. His death brought us freedom from slavery to sin and the promise of everlasting life with God. He willingly shared in our suffering to bring us to the source of true healing and freedom from sin and oppression.

True compassion not only identifies and emphathizes with the one who is in pain, but takes that pain on oneself in order to bring freedom and restoration. Jesus truly identified with our plight, and he took the burden of our sinful condition upon himself. He showed us the depths of God's love and compassion, by sharing in our suffering and by offering his life as an atoning sacrifice for our sins upon the cross. His suffering is redemptive because it brings us healing and restoration and the fulness of eternal life.

God offers us true freedom from every form of oppression, sin, and suffering. And that way is through the cross of Jesus Christ. Are you ready to embrace the cross of Christ, to suffer for his sake, and to lay down your life out of love for your neighbor?

a perennial problem gets resolved..

Have you heard of the most reliable laser hair removal in chicago? I guess it is in such clinic when all of our problems that pertain to making ourselves appropriately presentable and desirable in the eyes of our loved ones get resolved... the concerned people who ran the clinic are competent enough in giving one any assistance that can be given to the treatment of skin problems and all that.

Pleasing people or God

To tenderhearted people, tough love sounds frightening and maybe even unchristian. It comes easier to those of us who are by nature tougher hearted. When we see a problem in the life of someone we love, we do not hesitate to say, “What we need here is surgery. Let’s hack through his surface level excuses with a scalpel and get right to the heart of the matter. If it causes a little bleeding that’s ok as long as the problem gets fixed. If he survived, he’ll thank us later.”

Hearing this, tenderhearted people panic and say to themselves, “Surgery? Scalpel? Blood? I never want to see that happen to anyone, let alone do it myself. All I want is peace and harmony. Maybe with enough hugs, the problems will solve themselves, “ To you tenderhearted people, God would say, “I understand your tender spirit, I made you that way. But if you’re going to learn how to really love, you’re going to have to sometimes get tough.” Sometimes courageous faith means giving up people pleasing.

Claim God's grace

While most people in the world are busy building towers with highest hopes of making a name and gaining fame, God's truth sets the record straight. On the basis of God's Book, His Holy Word, it is my plea that we simply admit our need and claim God's grace. Instead of striving for a man made ticket to heaven based on high achievement and hard work. I suggest we openly declare our own spiritual bankruptcy and accept God's free gift of grace. "Why?" you ask. "Why not emphasize how much I do for God instead of what He does for me?" Because that is heresy, plain and simple. How? By exalting my ow effort and striving for my own accomplishments, I insult His grace and steal credit that belongs to Him only.

Putting education to good use

Many students graduate from college with a huge burden, they simply don't know what to do with the knowledge they've acquired over the previous years.

Not knowing that even before their graduation is a good time to start building up their resume. Maybe they can take on a part-time job during their senior year in college. For example: if you are studying to be a nurse, maybe you took on a nursing assistant careers as a part-time job in a hospital. You’ll need to get organized quickly so that you can find a job and start putting that education to good use!

Fortunately, there is the nursingassistantjobs site wherein you can easily find jobs. It is 100% free to upload your resume and search job openings.

Peace at any price?

Tenderhearted people will go to unbelievable lengths to avoid any kind of turmoil in a relationship. If there’s a little tension in the marriage and one partner asks the other, “What’s wrong?” the tender one will answer, “Nothing.” What he or she really saying is this: “Something’s wrong, but I don’t want to make a scene.” In choosing peacekeeping over truth telling, these people think they are being noble, but in reality they are making a bad choice. Whatever caused the tension will come back. The peace will get harder and harder to keep. A spirit of disappointment will start to flow the peacekeeper’s veins, leading first to anger, then to bitterness and finally to hatred. Relationships can die while everything looks peaceful on the surface!

Peace at any price is a form of deception. When you know you need to tell the truth, the evil one whispers in your ear, “Don’t do it. He won’t listen. She won’t take it. It will only make things worse.” If you believe those lies, you will probably kill your relationship sooner or later. Tell the truth!

tomorrow's Gospel: No one is unimportant to God

Scripture: Mark 10:2-16

2 And Pharisees came up and in order to test him asked, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?"

3 He answered them, "What did Moses command you?"

4 They said, "Moses allowed a man to write a certificate of divorce, and to put her away."

5 But Jesus said to them, "For your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment.

6 But from the beginning of creation, `God made them male and female.'

7 `For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,

8 and the two shall become one flesh.' So they are no longer two but one flesh.

9 What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder."

10 And in the house the disciples asked him again about this matter.

11 And he said to them, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another, commits adultery against her;

12 and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery."

13 And they were bringing children to him, that he might touch them; and the disciples rebuked them.

14 But when Jesus saw it he was indignant, and said to them, "Let the children come to me, do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of God.

15 Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it."

16 And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands upon them.

Reflections
What is God's intention for our state in life, whether married or single? Jesus deals with the issue of divorce by taking his hearers back to the beginning of creation and to God's plan for the human race. In Genesis 2:23-24 we see God's intention and ideal that two people who marry should become so indissolubly one that they are one flesh. That ideal is found in the unbreakable union of Adam and Eve. They were created for each other and for no one else. They are the pattern and symbol for all who were to come. Jesus explains that Moses permitted divorce as a concession in view of a lost ideal.
Jesus sets the high ideal of the married state before those who are willing to accept his commands. Jesus, likewise sets the high ideal for those who freely renounce marriage for the sake of the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 19:11-12). Both marriage and celibacy are calls from God to live a consecrated life, that is to live as married couples or as singles who belong not to themselves but to God. Our lives are not our own, but they belong to God. He gives the grace and power to those who seek to follow his way of holiness in their state of life. Do you seek the Lord and his grace in your state of life?
Do you seek to help others draw near to the Lord? The parents who brought their children to Jesus wanted Jesus to lay his hands upon them. They knew of the healing power, both physical and spiritual, which came from Jesus' touch. Jesus, in turn, rebuked his disciples for hindering the children from coming. No doubt the disciples wanted to shield Jesus from the nuisance of noisy children. But Jesus delighted in the children and demonstrated that God's love has ample room for everyone.
No one is unimportant to God. He comes to each person individually that he might touch them with his healing love and power. May we never hinder our youth from coming to the Lord to receive his blessing and healing power. And as we grow with age, may we never lose that child-like simplicity and humility which draws us into Christ's loving presence. Do you show kindness to the youth you encounter in your neighborhood, home, and church and do you pray for them that they may grow in the knowledge and wisdom of Jesus Christ?

tomorrow's Gospel: God loves each of us

Scripture: Luke 10:17-24

17 The seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!"
18 And he said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you.
20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."
21 In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to babes; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.
22 All things have been delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and any one to whom the Son chooses to reveal him."
23 Then turning to the disciples he said privately, "Blessed are the eyes which see what you see!
24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it."

Reflections
Do you know and experience in your personal life the joy of the Lord? The scriptures tell us that "the joy of the Lord is our strength" (Nehemiah 8:10). Why does Jesus tell his disciples to not take joy in their own successes, even spiritual ones? Jesus makes clear that the true source of our joy is God himself, and God alone. Regardless of the circumstances, in good times and bad times, in success or loss, God always assures us of victory in Jesus Christ. Jesus assures his disciples that he has all power over evil, including the power of Satan and the evil spirits or fallen angels who conspire against us. In fact, that is why Jesus came into the world to overthrow the evil one (John 12:31). We, too, as disciples of Jesus have been given spiritual authority and power for overcoming the works of darkness and evil (1 John 2:13-14).

Jesus thanks the Father in heaven for revealing to his disciples the wisdom and knowledge of God. What does Jesus' prayer tell us about God and about ourselves? First, it tells us that God is both Father and Lord of earth as well as heaven. He is both Creator and Author of all that he has made, the first origin of everything and transcendent authority, and at the same time, goodness and loving care for all his children. All fatherhood and motherhood is derived from him (Ephesians 3:14-15).
Jesus' prayer also contains a warning that pride can keep us from the love and knowledge of God. What makes us ignorant and blind to the things of God? Sinful pride springs from exaggerated self-centeredness. It closes the mind to God's truth and wisdom for our lives. The angels fell into pride and were cast out of heaven. The virtue of humility, the only true remedy against false pride, and which is very different from the feelings of inferiority and low self-esteem, leads us to a true recognition of who we are in God and of our dependence on God.

Jesus contrasts intellectual pride with child-like simplicity and humility. The simple of heart are like "babes" in the sense that they see purely without pretense and acknowledge their dependence and trust in one who is greater, wiser, and more trustworthy. They seek one thing – the "summum bonum" or "greatest good" who is God himself. Simplicity of heart is wedded with humility, the queen of virtues, because humility inclines the heart towards grace and truth. Just as pride is the root or every sin and evil, so humility is the only soil in which the grace of God can take root.
It alone takes the right attitude before God and allows him as God to do all. God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble (Proverbs 3:34, James 4:6). The grace of Christ-like humility inclines us to God and disposes us to receive God's wisdom. Nothing can give us greater joy than the knowledge that we are God's beloved and that our names are written in heaven. Do you seek to be like Jesus Christ in humility and simplicity of heart?

Jesus makes a claim which no one would have dared to make: He is the perfect revelation of God. One of the greatest truths of the Christian faith is that we can know the living God. Our knowledge of God is not simply limited to knowing something about God, but we can know God personally. The essence of Christianity, and what makes it distinct from Judaism and other religions, is the knowledge of God as our Father. Jesus makes it possible for each of us to personally know God as our Father. Saint Augustine of Hippo wrote: "God loves each of us as if there were only one of us to love."

To see Jesus is to see what God is like. In Jesus we see the perfect love of God – a God who cares intensely and who yearns over men and women, loving them to the point of laying down his life for them upon the cross. Jesus is the revelation of God – a God who loves us completely, unconditionally and perfectly. Jesus also promises that God the Father will hear our prayers when we pray in his name. That is why Jesus taught his followers to pray with confidence, "Our Father who art in heaven ...give us this day our daily bread." Do you pray to your Father in heaven with joy and confidence in his love and care for you?

Our immutable God

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever"Hebrews 13:8

God's immutability is firmly established by biblical passages like these. God has not changed. He is not growing old, and his power is not waning.

As I sought to strengthen my prayer life, I studied passages like these. I didn't want simply to agree with the doctrine of God 's omnipotence (I already did that) I wanted to own it, which is a different matter all together. I wanted to be able to say, I don't care what other people think. I don't care about scholar's opinions I believe that God has shown his omnipotence in history.

But it's one thing to own the doctrine of God's omnipotence in history; it's quite another to own the doctrine of his omnipotence today, in my hometown, over my problems and concerns. To believe this, I must believe that God does not change, that he is immutable.

A gift to remember for a lifetime

The number one rule of gift giving is knowing the person you’re giving to. Not just knowing them but understanding who they are, what their passions are and what they enjoy. For instance, if you have a mom whose passion is wearing designer sunglasses, probably eyeglasses123 is the site you are looking for. They stocked designer sunglasses by the thousands. They carry Prada, Gucci, Dior Coach, Polo, Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, Versace Sunglasses and many more. Nothing says thoughtful like something that makes the recipient aware that you really had them in mind when you picked it out.

You can order directly on their website or you can call their toll free number 516-775-2485 and order new discount sunglasses frames through one of their friendly representatives. Eyeglasses123 specializes in providing great designer style sun glasses at affordable prices. Whether for chic and sleek, sophisticated or sporty, they carry the styles seen everywhere from the runways to the streets. If you don’t find one that you are looking for. Just let them know what type of sunglasses you are looking and they’ll make sure you can have the very best gift for this coming season.

What you need to remember when buying or making a gift is that you are not just handing someone a box containing a present. You are handing them a box containing your thoughts of them. Some of the best presents require no money, some require a lot, the most important thing is that you truly thought about what you were giving as opposed to setting a dollar amount and grabbing the first thing that came in around that limit. If you hand someone a gift that helps express how you feel about them, you are handing them a gift they will remember for a lifetime.

Love is tender and tough

For many of us, this is not an easy command to follow. Tenderness seems to be a reflex reaction to some people, but for others it is alien and difficult. You see this in public places like airports and shopping centers. An elderly woman is struggling with luggage or packages, and a steady stream of able-bodied people who pass her by. Some even scowl and say, Get a move on grandma. And then a tenderhearted person comes along and take time to help her.

There are many reasons why some people are tender while others are tough. Part of it can be explained as God's workmanship. He makes us all different. Part of it is due to family heritage, the individuals temperament and the kind of experiences he or she has had. Both tenderness and toughness are important character qualities, both are necessary sides of love.

Immeasurable Determination

You have to have immeasurable determination and have to make some sacrifices, but if working abroad is your top priority, there is nothing that can stop you. Just remember that it’s all part of an experience that’ll change you forever.

Recognize His Power

I used to make excuses for my faint hearted prayer life. But God convinced me that I was not being honest with myself. The real reason my prayers were weak was that my faith was weak. In my heart, I did not believe that God could do anything about the messes all around me.

I decided I didn't want stay where I was, essentially disbelieving God's omnipotence. So I launched an assault on my own lack of conviction. I located almost every biblical passage that emphasized God's ability to accomplish anything He desires.

God is capable of handling any problem we could bring Him. Treating planets isn't much of a problem for Him. Neither is raising the dead. Nothing is too difficult for God to handle. But He's waiting for us to recognize His power and ask for his help.

Deep needs

Most of us have to admit that we don't pray that often about our deepest needs. We get faint hearted. We begin to pray, but we soon find our minds wandering and we realize we're using empty phrases. We start to feel hypocritical, and soon we give up. It seems better to live with almost any difficult situation than to continue to pray ineffectively.

We reach out to God, because we know how he is holding out loving arms toward us. But then we often fall back and try to face our difficulties in our own power because at some basic and perhaps unconscious level we doubt if God really can make a difference in the problems were facing.

It is well and good to believe that God loves us and wants to help us. The question remains: is He able to do so? Because if He isn't, all the good will in heaven and earth will make no difference.

Benefits of martial arts to kids

There are many reasons for kids to become involved in the martial arts. That is why many parents are choosing martial arts for their children over the traditional recreational activities. A child is allowed to develop at his or her own pace. The goals that they achieve are all their own, not as part of a team effort. They are participating in a stimulating environment which the child can have fun and learn to interact with others.

An important benefit of martial arts training for parents to note is that children will generally become more disciplined from the unique formalities of martial arts classes. Training instills mental and physical discipline necessary for a healthy adult life. This is one benefit that is often lacking in other sports. Former ‘problem’ kids with bad attitudes could become well behaved and respectful as a result of taking martial arts a few times per week. Respect is something that all martial arts instructors place great importance in during their classes. Martial arts kids are often very well behaved children no matter what social economic backgrounds they come from.

Now that I probably convince you the benefits of martial arts to kids, maybe you can start now searching martial arts uniforms that is essential in martial arts training. Different styles of martial arts have slightly different martial arts uniforms though all share the same basic design, differing only in the lengths of sleeves and legs. You can always find the finest martial arts uniforms and karate gi at Karate-Mart.com. They also provides ninja costumes and uniforms for TaeKwonDo, Jiu Jitsu, Hapkido and Judo. What a great surprise for our kids who insist to know how to learn the martial arts.

Visions matter

The story was told of two prisoners in one small cell with no light except what came through a tiny window three feet above the eye level. Both prisoners spent a great deal of time looking at the window, of course, One of them saw the bars- obvious, ugly, metallic reminders of reality. From day to day he grew increasingly discouraged, bitter, angry and hopeless. By contrast, the other prisoner looked through the window to the stars beyond. Hope welled up in that prisoner as he began to think of the possibility of starting a new life in freedom.

The prisoners were looking at the same window, but one saw bars while the other saw stars. And the difference in their vision made a huge difference in their lives. Likewise, our vision will affect our whole life.

Healthier outlook on life

Our society doesn't give much recognition for being self-indulgent, but being there for others requires that we take excellent care of ourselves. And still I believe that important that we look for ways to nurture ourselves. Today, plastic surgery can achieve what years of exercise can't, and brings a different meaning to the phrase " growing old gracefully". Changing one's appearance in the slightest of ways can make a world of difference to that person.

One's body image or perception of how they look often controls their life, directly and indirectly. Plastic Surgery can help people with this image struggle which often monopolizes one's perception of the world around them. Despite difference in age, background and social or economic status, their common denominator is a deep-seated and persistent dissatisfaction with the way they look to themselves.

One's perception of themselves is reflected in their personality and treatment of those they come in contact with. If a person is not happy with the way they look they often project it through negative body language or some other form of communication.

Choosing to have plastic surgery is an important decision especially breast augmentation surgery with implants. But most women undergo this type of plastic surgery procedure because they want to feel better about their physical appearance.

Fortunately, today there is an answer to such unhappiness that one might feel when browsing in at lookingyourbest site. Plastic surgery is an option to feel good again. It is an option that can benefit one for an entire lifetime. Plastic surgery leads to a healthier outlook on life and can be a milestone in one's life.

tomorrow's Gospel:To choose what is good

Scripture: Matthew 18:1-5, 10 (alternate reading: Luke 10:13-16)
1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"

2 And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them,

3 and said, "Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

4 Whoever humbles himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

5 "Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me;

10 "See that you do not despise one of these little ones; for I tell you that in heaven their angels always behold the face of my Father who is in heaven.
hy does Jesus warn his disciples to "not despise the little ones?" God dwells with the lowly and regards them with compassion. His angels watch over them as guardians. "For he will give his angels charge of you to guard you in all your ways" (Psalm 91:11). God has not left us alone in our struggle "to refuse evil and to choose good" (Isaiah 7:15). The angels are his "ministering spirits sent forth to serve, for the sake of those who are to obtain salvation" (Hebrews 1:14).

Reflections
Scripture is full of examples of how the angels serve as messengers and protectors. When Peter was chained in prison and kept under guard, an angel woke him in middle of the night, released his chains, and brought him safely out of prison, past several guards and through locked gates. When Peter realized he wasn't dreaming, he exclaimed: "Now I am sure that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me" (Acts 12:11). When Daniel was thrown into a den of hungry lions, an angel protected him from harm.

John Chrysostom, a 5th century church father, compared the guardian angels to the troops garrisoned in cities on the frontiers of the empire to defend it from the enemy. Basil the Great said, "Beside each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd leading him to life." Angels ministered to Jesus after his temptation in the wilderness and during his agony in the Garden of Gethsemane. The angels will be present at Christ's return, which they will announce, to serve at his judgment (Matt. 25:31).

The angels tell us that this universe is not just materialistic. The fallen angels, led by Satan, seek our destruction. If they cannot induce us to disown our faith and allegiance to Christ, they attempt to divert us from doing the will of God by distracting us with good things that weigh us down and make us indifferent towards the things of God. God gives us the help of his angelic hosts and he gives us spiritual weapons, the shield of faith and the breastplate of righteousness (see Ephesians 6:1-11), to resist the devil and his lies. Through the gift of the Holy Spirit, we, too, join with angelic choirs in singing the praises of God. Do you thank the Lord for his daily guidance and protection?

Following God

At some time in your life you must have sensed God saying to you, " It's time to start going in a new direction. I want you to change vocations (go back to school, start a ministry, strike up friendship, get a job, go to the mission field.), because you matter to me. I have great plans for you, and I'm going to work in your life. If you'll just take your blinders off, I'll use you" Just for a moment you felt a flutter in your heart, and you thought, "Maybe that was God's voice." but then instead of looking stars, you focused on bars.
