Tonight, we held a party after the 6:30Pm light meal at the recreation room to welcome the arrival of a Vietnamese monk Brother Paul Nguyen, OSB. Brother Paul is from the monastery of Tien Phouc in Vietnam and has decided to join my community. Bro Paul is in Solemn Vows so he may be given a two year- period of adjustment and live with the community customary before he gets finally accepted in the community.
To honor his arrival, the monks gathered to give him a warm welcome.... Bro Paul's Vietnamese name is Phouch Van Nguyen. He is the eleventh Vietnamese monk in my community. So, for brother Paul, I wish and pray that he may persevere and live with us for good.
